I turn the ignition on and can’t hear the fuel pump prime and heard a rumour that it only primes as the engine cranks not when the ignition is turned on just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction thanks

Is there a reason why you are hoping to hear the fuel pump?
You can test it by strapping across a couple of terminals in the test box by the battery.

Because I thought I could be another contributing factor of my problems couldn’t hear it prime so just thought it could be a possibility the pump has gone but changing the entire throttle body over today and will see the difference it makes have cleaned it all up then after order my self a new dizzy
