Hello!
When I take the car off the road in September for the winter I’m going to get a new water pump put on……what other bits should I do at the same time whilst on that side of the engine… I take it as given that will put a new cambelt on it.
Oh and just to conform it’s a 95 24V
Thank you
Trev

Why ?
Unless you have an issue , leave well alone.
I can assure you , original Japanese cambelts will last well over 120,000 miles .

There is a noise coming from the water pump so before it is an actual issue makes sense to get it done instead of regret it later. For what is a cheap part could turn into an expensive problem if not changed I figure
The car is on 94k and I cannot be sure if / when the cambelt has been done so makes sense to do while on that part of car doing the water pump.
As it’s a job doing the water pump I may as well change anything else too that would at some point be due a change at some point.

If you are doing all that, you might as well do the alternator & Power steering belt a the same time.

Also, remember to loosen the pinch bolt before adjusting the tensioner, if you don't you could bend or snap the tension adjuster bolt.

Makes sense now , if it is the original belt , my bet is, it will be in perfect condition.
Taking crankshaft pulley off without the proper tool , needs a bit of care.
