2.0 to 2.5V6 engine swap

Hi,
Maybe this has been covered before on the UK site, I don't know. Seems to be a popular topic in the States at the moment.
I've inherited a Probe 16V and after doing some research on the Probe and the MX6 it seems that the 24 valve V6 model is much smoother and more powerful.
Has anyone out there had any experience in putting the 2.5V6 engine into a 2 litre Probe ?
Also, I've combed the internet to look for a specialist garage who deals with Probes and Mazda MX6's, but not found anything. I've done a few engine swaps in my time, but it would be nice to give the work to someone else for a change .......
Cheers
Stew

No offence, but why??
Be mentioned lots, but only actually done once or twice, with a few failed attempts along the way……

For all the work, hassle and expense it would be far easier to sell the 16v and buy a 24v 🙄🤷🏼‍♂️

Just my opinion 🤣🤣 I have both anyway 😎😎

Thanks.
Biggest problem seems to be getting hold of a low mileage or rebuilt 2.5 engine........

That's the easy bit, what a the ECU, Temic system, the wiring loom, transmission.

Do your self a favor & JUST GO & BUY a 24v! for f*** ssck

Looks like a tidy 16v you have, if you want a 24v sell your 16v and buy a 24v
Simple option.

Thanks everybody for your input.

I've done a few engine swaps in my time, so I thought it would be easy....... Not so apparently.
The reason I wanted to keep this particular car is that it's been in the family since 1997, been well looked after, garaged etc and only 60000 miles.
