ABS

Post by Ecky101 » Fri Mar 01, 2024 1:18 pm

I have a 1997 24V Probe with ABS Motor fault Fault code 53 .I have voltage at the connection to the motor .It did work for a few days when I put battery voltage direct to the motor .Now wont operate with direct 12 volts from the battery. Question can the ABS motor be removed from the ABS unit in situ withouth removing the ABS unt from the vehicle.

Don't think you can just remove the motor from the abs unit, but I could be wrong, someone may come up with the answer, have you tried to reset the code, ( disconnect the battery and press the brake pedal for about 10 seconds)
It could be the abs relay? That's faulty,.
1st time I've heard of the motor fault
