Hi all. My 24v was stuttering / misfiring last year, then eventually wouldn't start. I replaced the plugs, leads and distributor complete which solved the problem.
Almost exactly a year later and the problem has started again. It starts up fine but am getting the odd stutter, usually when cruising at about 2500-3000 rpm. Would a distributor fail again that quickly? I hope not as they're not cheap...

Check your base idle/tps set to 600/750 rpm on tick over
and check plug leads as maybe oil on them in the spark plug wells
Dissys do tend to break down between 2500/4000 rpm once they get hot

sad to say this company sold me a poorly recon dizzy masquerading as a new.
it looked good but the location spigot was 0.5mm undersize making it impossible to centralise it on the axis of the camshaft. Very noisy for the few seconds i let it run. They reimbursed me but I wouldnt trust them again.

Oh I see. Bugger. Despite looking the part it did seem a bit odd - the way it located meant I had to turn it to it's limit to get the correct timing. Any recommendations for where to get a good quality one, or brands that are known to be decent?
Micron I believe it is just over a year (by about 2 weeks). Unsure on their warranty period.
