Was driving along today and there was a big bang on the passenger side followed by a clunking noise worse when turning.
Looks like the spring has gone. Are they available for a Probe 24v

Got a problem the garage that work on my Probe is now not insured by their insurance company to fit secondhand parts that relate to safety. So that means I have to buy them brand new which is doable but expensive!

Hmmm, been through all of this with dear old M515 many years ago.
I fitted used springs which always broke after another few years, the last occasion, before buying new front springs , the car had been static, in the garage for four years. when I came back to use the car , the front spring had broken in TWO places.
So, conclusion , there is /was a manufacturing fault present in most front springs fitted to early cars.
