Airbag code 41

Post by Probe3 » Wed Jul 19, 2023 11:00 pm

Hi all!

You may remember I was over the moon, after following the instructional on how to repair code 51 (airbag control module :-) :-)

Now I have code 41, not all the time but usually starts after 10/15 mins of driving. Sometimes stays on & sometimes goes off!

From the tech -
41 -- front crash/safing sensor circuit, high resistance/open circuit -- wiring, front crash sensors, safing sensor

My question is, can anyone be more specific as to where to check etc? Has anyone fixed this code? Any pointers?

Thanks in advance (will post on FB too)

Matthew :-)

 Have you tried cleaning the blue & orange connectors behind the glove box

Tried those + reconnected battery - but was still showing code 41. Then it stopped for 10 mins, then did code 12 a few times -- (supply voltage low -- wiring, battery) then back to 41.. think I need to check all wires & connections? I have cleaned the one near the wiper motor in engine bay but the rest look hidden

Had the car in bits this afternoon - snapped and cleaned every plug etc... now code 41 has gone but I have code
24 --

safing sensor, open circuit or low resistance in sensors -- wiring, safing sensor, crash sensor

Seems similar to code 41 :-/

Bump help bump help haha
