24v Rear cam cover question

Post by geoff » Thu Jan 03, 2019 8:43 pm

Hi, I'm currently doing the cam cover seals on my 24v.
The rear cam cover has a small lug at the back (below the large breather hose) with what I think is a solenoid mounted on it.
A single wire comes from the solenoid, about 6" long, terminating in a small right angled plug.
On mine this plug appears to have never been connected to anything.
Can anyone tell me what this is for please?

That's usually the mounting point for the Wiring to the Rear Bank O2 Sensor ;)
