16v timing belt

Post by 28Injectionford » Thu May 18, 2023 12:26 pm

Hi is the 2.0 engine an interference fit engine ie if belt broke would valves be compromised ?
Just wondering how high risk this was ?
I read the v6 in non interference fit meaning if belt broke no big issues other than big job to replace lol

Cheers for reply
Less risk then
I’ll look to change when I can seeing as using very low miles drives
It was changed according to paperwork in 2007 but that’s hell of long time standing
Thanks Chris g
