Air bag light

Post by TrevorH83 » Mon Feb 27, 2023 4:42 pm

Hello,

Am I right in thinking that if my airbag light sequence is, 1 flash followed by 3 flashes is error code 13?

Regards

Trevor

Looks like it
13 -- airbag or front crash sensor circuit, short circuit to earth -- wiring, airbags, spiral cable, front crash sensors/safing sensor

Thank you - is there a logical route to go down to try and fix the problem / get the light turned off?

Some are behind the steering wheel air bag, others as Duncan says behind the front wheel arch liner.

Remove the front liners in both wheel arches and check brackets and wires then chase wiring
to the bulk head inside the car the car for left/right sensors.front is under the plastic cowl panel
by the bonnet catch check there the wires go up to wiper motor check clean/pass air bag remove
the glove box then check connector frome air bag/drivers air bag remove and check connector
do one at a time but please disconnect battery when testing each time with at least a 30 second
delay to discharge power(hold foot on brake)
Please let us all know how you get on ;)

Thank you, sounds like a fun afternoon then haha!! Is there one under the drivers seat too or does that not relate to code 13?

I will indeed keep you posted, plan is to put the car back on the road in April to have for the summer and then put back in the garage!
