Fuel Filler Cap Release

Post by TrevorH83 » Sun Feb 26, 2023 9:46 am

Hello!

Hopefully just a simple one.

Wanted to top up the probe with some fresh fuel but came to open the fuel flap cover and it doesn’t seem to be popping open?

Any suggestions?

Cheers

The release in the flap, becomes sticky with little use.

Try a bit of WD-40

Someone in the car pulling the lever to max.
You , bumping the filler lid with your hand.
A prayer might help.
Fix it before closing lid again.

If it does need a little persuading is there a position to best go from?

Thank you!

Got home and gave the hinge a good dosing of wd40 and no more problem
