Just for completeness, I'd like to replace the O Ring when swapping the dizzy, does anyone have a part number or spec?

Many thanks to Simon for popping over today. Brand new distributor I've had in stock for years kicked the car back into life.
Running absolutely fine but still got the non idle issue when coming to a stop every time so further investigation needed there.

If the dizzy will only go on one way, why is it necessary to be at tdc?

Just an update on this thread that I forgot to mention a couple of weeks ago. The dizzy that we fitted was brand new. The car goes like stink even more now. A very noticable increase in performance. 8-)
