Anyone have a step by step guide (not Haynes!) for engine removal (16v) please?
Cheers

Just the best sequence to do things in really, plus any tips to make it as simple as possible for an amateur 😉

Everyone has the ‘own’ way of doing things.
So, here’s my idea’s

Take bonnet off
Drain fluids, oil, water & gearbox oil
Remove drive shafts, either complete, or split them at the Inner CV joint.
Remove air box
Remove battery & tray, along with clutch slave cylinder.
Disconnect wiring, break the connectors, leaving most with the engine
Remove radiator & hoses
Fuel, vac & heater pipes
Exhaust @ the front pipe
Power steering pump/ hoses
Throttle & C/control cables
Gear linkage & stability bar, at back of gearbox
Take weight of engine
Remove engine mounts, remembering the one on the gearbox/crossmember

Lift out engine

Would anyone like to add anything ?
