metal thermostat coolant pipes / starter motor

Post by twilight-rider » Sun May 01, 2022 7:22 pm

Hi guys, I'm asking about the metal pipes from the thermostat, in particular the one from the top front of the thermostat that ends lowest on the passenger side of the engine, with a t- junction just before it goes to rubber. mine's corroded, we've patched it but it's only held for a time ,see pictures attached. Also, it's bled onto the starter motor, so i may need a new one, although when dried out it still starts, original part is Auto electro 720728, I'm wondering what people have done to replace both, or any help on replacement parts, 1997 P Reg 16v,
many thanks, Gav.

Sorry,
I sold my spare to Jeff Jones, on here.
I believe his old pipe was corroded in a different place to yours
May be you could make a good one out of the two, with a compression fitting.
