Aftermarket alloys

Post by Mondeo55 » Mon Apr 18, 2022 11:02 pm

If this info is already posted elsewhere then my apologies, I did have a quick flick through so may have missed it!!

Can anyone confirm the biggest wheel the Probe can comfortably accommodate without any body modification? 17” I’d thought wouldn’t be a problem but I’ve seen some listings for 19”!

Some of it will depend on if you have lowered the car, and the profile of your tyres. if you start to make the overall circumference different to the original, then it will affect your speedo, if you also lower the car as well as bigger wheels, you risk catching them.

Cheers both, it’s lowered a mild 35mm. I’m not planning on anything extreme but the factory 16’s look a little lost in the arches. Maybe next year once I’ve had some wear from the new tyres I’ll consider going aftermarket 🤔

There are a set of 18" RX8 wheels on here for sale, which fit, they need tyres, but they look good.
