Morning all, I've just bought my Probe, before I use it I want to get all belts and ancillaries, is this an easy DIY job or is it a garage job, if so anyone know costs??

Cheers Mark

Lots of garages won’t touch our cars any more, there too Old School.

Details of how to change the timing belt can be found in the Oracle, ( but you need to be a ‘Full Member’ to access it.
Have a look here

Is it easy or a garage job.
It all depends on your mechanical skills and if you have the time to do it. Like everything in life the first time is always scary, but if you have good kills and take your time then yes you can do it

As Kit says, you can read the guide and ask lots of questions, I would say it’s probably the best £10 you will ever spend. As the advert goes, if Carlsberg did car clubs … 🤣

Now then gang, I've got the timing belt stripped down, I've got my new water pump ready to fit, my question is does anybody know the recommended torque settings for the pump bolts, cheers Mark

Do you have a Haynes manual? As they will be in there, you may have to convert them from lb-ft to nm.
If not I’m sure someone will tell you soon.
