Gasket and seal needed for oil leaks

Post by KEG » Wed Apr 06, 2022 12:33 pm

Hi

I have two oil leaks, I need a inlet manifold gasket and a seal for the distributor.

Does any one have these or point me in the right direction.

Thanks
Steve

Don’t you mean Cam cover gaskets :?:
The IM gaskets, is a ‘Dry joint’ , there is no oil here.

With the Dizzy, it’s a new ‘O’ ring you need.
You should be able to purchase that locally, from Auto parts shop

I've just bought Cam Cover gaskets and associated grommets etc. from my local A1 store - £58 for the pair, which I thought was OK.

Think I'll be going down that road too , soon . Did you give them a reference number or just tell them what you wanted and they knew? Didn't lead you towards a 2.5 Sierra gasket set?

Just let me know and you know I’ll sort it for you 😉

Actually just gave him the registration, the guy who runs the store is an ex-neighbour so I get some grief about “I thought they’d all been scrapped” or “ did you borrow it off your hairdresser” but he does right by me in the end 😂

Remember, to do the rear cam cover, on the V6.
You need to take off the IM, so, you should replace the inlet IM gasket when you put it back
