Well done, really good news, now you need to find another one, exactly the same.
Always have a known working spare, in the boot, just in case !

Well, it was fun for a day. She's dead again!

I could smell burning just before the car cut out so I suspect the gague of wire used to bridge pins on immobiliser wasnt thick enough.

Ok guys, a pro tip I've learned (been told by the experts here) bypass immobiliser at the plug going in, not at the immobiliser pins inside.

Benefits:
1) weight saving = +0.00001bhp! Always a positive
2) wire is already the correct gauge
3) less risk of smelling burning wires while driving...
4) you won't have to pull out immobiliser when you do a bad job :)
5) it's easier.
