Flexible brake pipes.

Post by Tott61 » Sun Oct 10, 2021 7:24 pm

Ford probe 2.0 1994

I am trying to replace the rear Flexi break pipes. Once you have removed the clips I assume the
pipe should pull out. Mine appear to be corroded to the mounts is there a way to remove these other than brute strength. Also the flare nut which connects the steel pipe to the Flexi is corroded. Is there any advice re undoing without damaging it.

Hint :- you have to free the flexi pile from the Mount, then undo the flexi hose from the metal pipe, after cleaning & applying a release agent, WD-40 etc
Turn the flex pipe, (17mm spanner), & hold the flare nut with a 10mm ‘brake spanner’
