Clattering rear brake, nearside.

Post by Sunfly » Thu Sep 23, 2021 4:58 am

I am getting this clattering on gentle braking. No problem when not braking or when braking firmly. Does anyone know what causes it?

Hi Bob
have you checked to see if the anti rattle springs are still attached to the pads

Hi Kev.

No but they're fairly new, however, I've had a lot of trouble with them on this car, though not on any other. I guess a better question might have been "what displaces the springs so they rub against the disc and get weak?"
