If you bypass the immobiliser what can you replace it with to ensure that the insurance policy is still valid

Possibly cheaper to tell them it doesn't have one?
Your other option is an after market alarm/immobiliser.
EBay if you intend to do it yourself, or I'm sure there are companies out there, who can fit one for a few £££?

Have you considered , removing the immobiliser from its position , taking the lid off it , removing the plastic cover over the ignition circuit relay, jamming the contacts HARD closed with a matchstick , replace lid , replace immobiliser.
That was easy and you have now made sure the ignition circuit relay will never cause the coil to fail.
The red light will still flash with the ignition off BUT will stay on while the engine is running. Cover it , if it bothers you.
No soldering, no wires to get wrong , immob still works.
