Advisory after MOT said oil leak but not excessive. Is this likely to be the sump gasket as I can't think of anything else.
Also slight leak from from offside power steering rack. Is this common and can it be fixed.

It could be a rocker cover gasket, probably the back one.
As for the steering rack, sounds like it could be just a boot that needs replacing, remove the track rod end, then replace the boot and put the old track rod end or a new one

As Said wlll be front /rear Gaskets on the cam cover gaskets ,for leaks every one leaves
the rear as manifold has to come off ;) Thats the one that leaks
Power steering is it leaking from the bellows if so just replace bellow

Thanks for the help
I didn't say the car is a 16v 2.0. could it still be the rocker cover leaking. It does look a bit grimy so I am going to gunk it . Hopefully then I might be able to spot any leak

When I saw this, I noticed you didn’t say what size engine :?:
I can’t see it being the sump, the joint is not under an pressure, & the number of bolts around the edge, the gasket is doing very little.
Is there oil in the Plug wells :?: :?: if so it’s likely the cam cover gasket. Easy job, just remember to take out the oil dip stick, or you my break it when move the cover, around power steering pipe.
Look up at the back of the engine, where the oil pressure sender is. Has been known to leak from here.
Or possibly, the ‘O’ ring on the Dizzy drive.
Apart, from that your looking at crankshaft seals, oil pump gasket, or camshaft seals, but I doubt it’s these.

There was some oil in the plug tubes.
I have bought a rubber gasket and will fit this hopefully that will solve the leak

Thanks for your help.
