ABS Codes 11, 12,13,14

Post by Micron » Wed May 19, 2021 8:16 am

I also read the ABS codes yesterday and came up with 12, 13 and 14 :o I am going to change the module first as I had a similar issue on the MX6, then look at cleaning the sensors / replacing them.

Blue unit apart as may be the Thermal fuse blown ;)
Blue module is the Air Bag, it's a silver module for the ABS, which is different on a MX6, it's in a different place, different fixings and different model!

But yes I have 2 :D

Maybe, but going with the module first, because that's what happened with the MX6, replacing the module cleared 2 out of 3!

I found the rear sensors crushed to death by rust , I believe later , post '94 models , had a PTFE sleeve in the sensor hole for the stainless steel can to fit into.
Again, it is hard to understand why the ABS control module should fail , ie How many ECU failures do you know of ? None.

I had one on the MX6, as that was showing up several faults, I changed the module and that cleared 2 of the 3, then i changed a single sensor and it's all good

Well I changed the ABS module twice today and still no change, so tomorrow I will mostly be cleaning and maybe changing ABS sensors, oh joy!
