Well 6 hours on my back , bust nails stinking to high hell but it was worth it . Just about to test drive , decat and the rest of the exhaust system done .cut off old one u bought a big bar but couldn't get it high enough to use but worth the investment .got a lovely rasp to it and I can smell the petrol instead of a stinky cat so a result . Thanks guys for the advice .

Good work, one step at a time and you’ll get it all done sooner than you think

Brakes are the next thing will take me to Xmas to save up for all the parts the whole lot want doing and a leaking master cylinder too . Got a few little jobs to do in-between time before the winter .

Got a spare master cylinder here. You could put new seals in it ( available from Rockauto’s in the States). Then swap it over. Is your car an automatic :?:
