Bonnet release advice

Post by fuerte » Wed Sep 18, 2019 3:11 pm

My car is booked in next week as my driver side lock has broken.I am positive the mechanic can pick the broken cover out and I can use it again.Worst case scenario I have locks fron old probe.
But while it is in there still trying to sort bonnet release stickng.
pull lever doesnt retract and sound is too twangy.Actual release mechanism not sticking.
I think it was cpt that mentioned checking some white clips.
Can someone or he tell me where they are so I or the mechanic can check it out.
Car booked in Tuesday so no rush.

Cheap & quick fix,

Swap the drivers door lock, for the Passengers door lock.
Will your mechanic know how to do that :?: 8-)

Checked passenger side lock and it feels like it wont be far behind the other in jamming too.
The mechanic understood what I meant about getting the broken bit out so it should be sorted.
Just wanted to know location of white clips mentioned in reply to my previous post on bonnet release cable.
