Bosh Immobiliser- by pass Ford Probe 16V

Post by geoff shaw » Fri Jul 19, 2019 10:45 am

I found the instructions on how to by pass the Bosh immobiliser on my Ford Probe. One of the three methods described says "make up three wires and insert into the stated pin numbers". Is this done just into the plug with the immobiliser removed or with the plug then inserted back into the immobiliser. I have done it into the plug only but the car just turns over.

Thank you in advance

If you link together the Wires according to the Write up then the Car should start and run.
Once your happy everything is working OK then cut the Wires in linked pairs (one pair at a time) and twist / solder together for a permanent fix.
The Immobiliser then goes in the bin along with the Button Key Fob

That`s what this club is all about, helping other members to keep these cars on the road (well done to all who gave advise)

Geoff have you considered becoming a full member (£10 per year) would cost you more if you took the car to a garage :D

Possibly the dumbest question on this forum -

Is there a specific wire I should use for linking the pairs? The guide mentions 10a standard wire, but google doesn't give a result, which means I have no idea what to do next.

Thanks as usual your all great people!
