car cranks but won't start

Hi all new here and new to owning a probe I've acquired a 2.0litre 16v that turns over but won't start I've been though the net looking for answers but hit a blank basically the car turns over but won't start checked for spark not got one found a bypass on internet using the module behind centre console but on inspection on my car that's missing and some wires pushed into connectors please any help to get car running would be greatly appreciated thank you :(

sound like the dizzy has failed (no spark) what year is the car (two types of dizzy)

Sorry forgot to mention the car is a 1994

It sounds like the immobiliser has already been removed, if there are just some wires, hopefully they have been connected together correctly and still have good contact. It might pay to check the joints?

I also agree with Malcolm about the dizzy being faulty.

Being a early 94 car, it should be an S1 Dizzy

Ok is there anyway of testing the dizzy and not sure on wires as they just seem to be pushed in the block that should be plugged in to the box if that makes any sense

Wait for a tech to answer re dizzy.
I think the box you are talkingvabout is the immobiliser which caused problems so most people bypassed them.Do you have a key fob with a button separate to the key and does it still work.Or do you have a different type of immobiliser or none at all.

Sounds like a Dodgy bypass or the Dissy to me.
As said get the Bypass checked out first.
Any Pics of what you have would be very helpful.
