Hello all,
I have many other jobs to do on the car before she's on the road and will no doubt be calling on all your support - thanks for the guys who said to search the States for a front windscreen seal, found the last on the site and a new one at that!
However, I'm wondering what would be the best tweaks and mods to get that bit more from the GT. I have some basic ideas such as strip the weight back where possible, cat back exhaust, remap, install supercharger etc but I'm wondering what your success stories were on your own pride and joys?
I'm assuming there are only the 2 types of Probes in the UK the 2.0L straight 4 and the 2.5L V6 with a V6 badge in place of the Ford badge at the front and a GT badge at the back? I have the latter. Just thought I'd clarify the car so that you know what to help with

If you can find a KLZE motor from a J-spec MX6 that’s 200bhp from the factory, but the higher compression makes it a little less suited for forced induction.
If you get the whole unit including the transmission you also get a LSD, more power is no use if you can’t get it to the road.
Loosing weight should help a lot in terms of acceleration, there is a lot of heavy stuff in a Probe but won’t give any more top speed.

If a UK car then the V6 & GT badges will have been added to it, wouldn’t have come with them

Thanks for all the advice. I've looked into the KLZE engine before but they seem tricky to get hold of.
I'm assuming it's a UK car, RHD and bought in the UK! Not sure I like the badges enough to keep them or to revert to the standard styling, were these badges standard on any model across the globe? Just wondering where the owner got the idea from.

Badges all the same in UK! Ford blue oval badge on front bumper, and on back a Ford Oval badge on the right and on the left a ‘Probe’ badge followed by either 16v or 24v depending on the model!
Ones you have were options made a good few years back and mostly sold through the Probestore, but that’s one place to definitely avoid nowadays!!!

I believe in the USA, the 16v was known as an SE, and the 24v was a GT.
