Be careful of some of the 626 shocks, because some of those are oil filled, not gas filled, and you need 626 GE parts.ProbeProject wrote: ↑Thu May 21, 2020 11:23 amJust jumping on this thread. I'm looking to get some lowering springs and shock absorbers for the Probe and hitting a bit of a block with some of the individual prices being over £100 each per shock and fairly rare. I have seen some 626 Mk VI hatchback shocks that are significantly cheaper but keen to know exactly what will fit. Any advice like OEM code numbers or links to say relevant Monroe shocks and springs would be extremely helpful here!
Once again, appreciate all the support of the group!

Unless you are going very low the standard shocks work with lowering springs

Oil-filled aren't a problem.
Japha has oil filled all round, and Chewie has oil-filled front and gas rear.

Thanks everyone! Any preference or links worth sharing? Keen to keep the cost as low as possible whilst not losing too much on drivability etc

Spotted the below on the cheap, what do people think? Looks like the spring mount is higher up the shock but that could be me as it seems to be for the right car

Does seem a bit too cheap but thought if they're the right ones worth giving it a punt, reckon they'll fit? The spring support looks a bit different but could just be me.
