The lock you mention that doesnt work.Is it a door lock.They have a plastic part that breaks and drops down preventing you using the lock.It is possible to get the broken piece out and it will work fine.I wasted money on new locks until I discovered this.Also have you compared keys on ignition on do...

Stupid question too but are you allowing enough time for it to kick in.I am impatient and it takes me a few attempts to get mine working as I dont hold the buttons long enough.

PS thinK of me on sunday and have a laugh as you think if me topping up my oil.Its that clear I cannot see it so no doubt will be juggling glasses squinting holding torch in mouth etc and this time I have bought a tundish so I dont miss and pour it in alternator instead.lesson learnt one kaput alter...

I am sticking with what I have always down then on letter f and never below max.Worked for me for 3 probes as never lost oil at that level for miles and engines always been sound.Only problem is when gaskets,o ring and oil pressure switch went which just age and wear and tear I guess. Things change as we all learn.I was under impression following advice that oil level on 24v should be taken to the f slightly above the max but the mechanic I took it to took it dead on to the full.I told him what I had been advised and he said he didnt recommend overfilling. No to probe store. Cannot recommend a supplier on ebay as I have never bought those parts myself but there are some good ones Check feedback and look for listings that name a brand and research that brand.Go for one that lists a phone number so you can ring and talk to them. Read the listings and us...

Totally agree ears and eyes the best judges of a problem.
As for late penny pinching dont forget no compartment in rear drivers seat only passenger.And the cheap heater resistor.
I was chuffed when I got my late but I think an early is on the whole better.
A plus though is the temic.

My water and oil gauge on my late has only ever shown bottom or half.If anyone ever seen them do otherwise would be interested to know.
