I once had a issue with MrP, and I can't remember what the code was, but my air bag light would flash while driving if I just put in the key and started the car up without waiting for the lights to go out, and would keep on flashing while driving, but if I put in the key and turn it without starting...

Update , car has started and ran but then cuts out , auto electrician still thinking it’s pointing to immobiliser issue , is there anywhere it can be sent to for testing ? One of my probes had a similar problem, would start up, run for a few seconds then cut out, the problem was the chip in the key...

I have 2 1995 16v and both have the temic system, because both are cross-overs, (and both have the S3 Dizzy)

No, just rinse it off, (spray it with a degeaser) then rinse it off.
