I gave Simon my spare ‘Air Bag Blue box’, today
To try in his car.
The lamp on the dashboard, was flashing code 53
But if you could prove the Thermal fuse out of the car.
It would save a lot of messing around.

Got a Second Hand 16v rack here if you need it.
But it’s more likely the pipe work of the joints that are causing the issue

Thanks for the help. Out of interest why do the side gears have to be held in place .According to the manual it said to prevent misalignment. What actually becomes misaligned There’s a chance the diff could drop ( I’ve never known it). So, you could leave the inner CV shaft in place, or ram a broom...

No special tools need

Done about 6 clutch change now

Day one. Take the gearbox off & strip the pressure plate off

Day Two. Put it all back together

Remember, take the hose off the metal pipe, the nut on metal pipe, might be sized solid
