I found the rear sensors crushed to death by rust , I believe later , post '94 models , had a PTFE sleeve in the sensor hole for the stainless steel can to fit into.
Again, it is hard to understand why the ABS control module should fail , ie How many ECU failures do you know of ? None.

Re: Distributor
Keep the leads attached to the dis cap.
Remove the distributor, do not worry , it will only fit back the right way when you take it off.
Even if the engine is turned accidentally.

You need to find that TOT number or it is all guesswork , different numbers cannot be used.

Re: Couple of issues
That is the only helpful clue, a wire or circuit on those two switch positions is 'stopping' the engine. So, it is either preventing a vital feedback from the running engine getting back into the ECU , or it is 'higher up the chain' and taking the ECU relay out directly ? And the headlamp isn't work...

Re: Couple of issues
I have been looking at those circuits and to try and NOT guess at what is taking the engine out is...................... Instinct keeps saying "It's the engine change to blame" , ie something has been damaged on the wiring loom, somewhere. A lot of very careful visual examination seems a good start....

Re: Couple of issues
You really need to narrow the search down by isolating blocks of circuit .
Look at that wiring diagram book , section 32 , you will see various plugs that allow you to do this.

Re: Couple of issues
As for lights, switch drives relay, relay feeds motors.
If the relay is working then I would suspect broken wire or poor earth somewhere.
Clutch ?
You must have had a problem before , new master cylinder fitted , job for Janice in the morning I think while you watch what is happening !

Re: Lazer brakes
Well done Malcolm. I was going to mention replacing all the brake caliper bolts for stainless , especially those on the rear calipers. Rounded heads are a real pain , best avoided. Denso tape wound round the shaft on the rear calipers where it enters the ' lip seal ' in the caliper body helps too. T...
