Re: 24V Probe - Complete Starting Fail

Just an update on this thread that I forgot to mention a couple of weeks ago. The dizzy that we fitted was brand new. The car goes like stink even more now. A very noticable increase in performance. 8-)

Re: Probe Unusable -Non Tickover

I fixed the problem today. It was the MAF. I'd got a spare, unknown MAF from the boot of DUK when I bought it tucked away in my spares.

Question now is, is my faulty MAF fixable or is it to the bin?

Re: Unable To Remove Spark Plugs

What a pain of a problem. But I've sorted it. A mixture of wearing my specs, a bright torch, a sharp screwdriver, extra long tweezers , WD40, spark plug socket , hammer and around 2 hours of my life to remove 4 out of 6 plugs. New plugs and replacement leads in. I never want that problem again. I've...

Can you break the hard parts off of the spark plugs, it might damage the top, but as long as the metal bit where the socket goes is ok you should be ok.

Then try and use a hoover to suck up all the bits???
Did attach some hose to a hoover but to no avail .

Cut the sides off the rubber, as you can.
Then ‘hammer’ on a socket, as far as you can.

Unable To Remove Spark Plugs

To start the story again . My HT lead ends have popped off from the leads and remain suctioned on to 4 out of 6 of my spark plugs. I've struggled and managed to get the 2 problem front ones out, photo included but I'm struggling like mad with the 2 on the rear . Extra long nose needle pliers don't f...
