When cold , the Probe tickover cuts out. Not a problem when warm :?:
Water levels full both sides.
Any ideas ?
Sounds like a issue with your IAC,
Would that fit in with it being a swine to get started after being laid up plus I had the engine management light on too ?

Have you put a meter across the the terminals, yet  :?:
Should have 14.5v.

Is the belt slipping? :?:

Kit
Belt not slipping or at least not squealing . I need to get across to Simons yard for a meter check.

Re: Couple of Woes

Update. Road taxed it today and went for a drive. Light on permanent.Parked up and turned off. On restarting , it only just fired, like it was a flat battery, I didn't think it would start. I drove it quite hard for the next 10 miles, light extinguished. 3 more restarts and its fine . :?:

If not, just put your tongue across the terminals and see if you notice a difference 🤣

PS, don’t try this at home 😮🤣

Re: Couple of Woes

Maybe not code time, if the EML is only glowing, because like Kev said, it could be the alternator on the way out, hence the light comes and goes. If you was going to do anything, get a meter, put it across the battery on volts and read what it says, then start the car and do the same with it runni...

Re: Couple of Woes

Right ok guys. Alternator is unknown as it was used when fitted. But no lights showing when parked up in October :?:
It'll be taxed next week, so will see with running around if it clears, if not, code time then.

I would say that you need an electrical type of cleaner or brake cleaner rather than wd40 as that is oil based, As for the light, did you happen to get a picture? Also was it at the top or bottom and did you notice any writing Update: I have just looked at a spare set of clocks and I would say that...
