Re: **URGENT** - Car won't start and currently stuck at work
If it is the Dissy then it's quite straight Forward to replace assuming it's a 24V 1) Note roughly where the bolts sit in the slots so that you can put the replacement one back in the same position. 2) If your on a Standard Air Intake then remove it. If your on a Cold Air and have the room then no n...

Re: Tappet rattle
Hey Bob. To change them out you would need both Cam Covers off, so that means Inlet Manifold as well to get the back one off. Then you need the Cambelt off. Then you need to remove all 4 Cams keeping the Caps and bolts in the original positions. These will need to be timed together on each head when...

Re: car cranks but won't start
Sounds like a Dodgy bypass or the Dissy to me.
As said get the Bypass checked out first.
Any Pics of what you have would be very helpful.

Re: Flywheel weight reduction???
Thought i heard a few years back that an MX3 Flywheel is lighter than the Probes.
Personally i wouldn't machine an original because if it lets go it will make a mess.
Think you can get Aftermarket ones in the USA.

Re: Inlet Air Control Valve Servicing
Thanks Jon, I thought it was something along those lines. I assume the carbon cleaner cant attack the wax? I'll try the boring method then...! The hot air blower. I had visions of you doing a Kenny Everett and spontaneously combusting along with the table and carbon cleaner. Do you remember his D.I...

Re: Inlet Air Control Valve Servicing
Hiya Bob, thanks for remembering the Table :D   Once the Valve is off I filled it up with Carb Cleaner and then operated the Valve. This is done via the Solenoid by flashing 12V across it to get it to open and close a few times and by heating and cooling the Wax Plug. This is how I burnt K...
