Also check the fuel cut off switch in the boot, wires have known to corroded and short out

I agree Trevor, check the belt, may need a new one, as for the pulley bearing easy to change, knock it out with a socket (or get it pressed out) again knock tin new one in with a socket.

In the past the same thing happened to me, I got a friend to weld the nut in position then removed the bolt,
and on another time I managed to grind down the sides of a spanner to get right in, and used plenty of wd40
