Re: Burnt oil smell

Pull the plug leads (one at a time )
& see if you have any oil in the plug wells.
If so, dry it out.
It can short out & fry the dizzy :o

Re: Burnt oil smell

The IM has to come of, to remove the rear cam cover. Don’t forget to use gasket sealer, & don’t tighten down too much, follow the spec. The front cam cover is more straightforward Kit So do i gather it's worth doing the front one at the same time ? Yes, oil leak on to the alternator, & F**k’s it Kit

Re: Cambelt Pullys 24V

Good practice, to replace them.
Especially if you don’t know the history of the car.
Or if they are noisy .

In your case, with only 19K miles :o
It’s your decision

Re: metal thermostat coolant pipes / starter motor

Sorry,
I sold my spare to Jeff Jones, on here.
I believe his old pipe was corroded in a different place to yours
May be you could make a good one out of the two, with a compression fitting.

What's the way to remove seats from seat rails. I can't get past the brass stopper lug.
Don’t think you can :?
