Steering wheel control buttons
Hi guys, I need your help for a small project on my MX6. I want to add stereo volume control buttons on the left side of the steering wheel, I already have cruise control on the right. The wheel doesn’t have an airbag. For the buttons I will ideally use another set of cruise control buttons or could...

Re: Disaster - advice needed
After paying a large bill for the cam belt, water pump, pulley, tensioner idler etc I now have the car back and it’s running like new. It must have been a very long time since the belt was changed, it was loose because the tensioner was seized. The pump was the cause of the leak and the bearings wer...

Re: Disaster - advice needed
Some of the parts I’ve seen listed say they fit the 2.5 and the 2.0
Does anyone know for certain if they are the same or not?

Re: Disaster - advice needed
It’s in the garage today for cambelt and water pump, it was the pump leaking but there were a couple of other things. The cam timing was out by two teeth and the crank pulley damper had failed and was slipping. That must be what the smell was. I found a new damper on eBay but up to 10 days delivery ...

Re: Coolant filler cap
Great thanks, I will try that.
Since mojo98 posted the pics of the Australian cap I’ve found out that a lot of big Nissans use the same cap including a Navara 2.5d and those caps seem to be listed in the uk.
If I found out for sure I will let everyone know.

Re: Coolant filler cap
I’m not intending to fit a pressure spring I just need a standard cap with a good seal.
I did try the spring type, it fitted but was loose and didn’t make a seal.

Coolant filler cap
Does anyone know where I can get a coolant filler cap? The one for the top of the engine that doesn’t have the pressure release spring. Mine got fried when the engine overheated. If I can’t get a new one does anyone know where I can get an old one to modify and put a new seal in it? Thanks Kevin htt...

Re: Disaster - advice needed
I got underneath today and it running down the crankcase and dripping off at the bottom of the crankshaft pulley. I don’t see any pipes above that, it’s not leaking around the pressure release cap so I could it be leaking from the block or will it be the water pump? I don’t think I’ll see any more w...

Re: Disaster - advice needed
Well i got chance to look at it on the weekend starting with inspecting the pistons with an endoscope, i had hoped to check the bores but the little mirror attachment didn't work. The tops of the pistons were good, five were amazingly clean, no carbon build up to be seen anywhere, the other had no c...
