Truly , I must be the best unpaid sales rep they've never had , a good product sells itself though.
Sticks around right enough !

Re: Hand brake adjustment problem
And if you never want your calipers to seize again......wind some thin strips of DENSO tape between that lever arm and the caliper casting. The idea is to give the useless lip seal a chance ,by stopping dirt and salt water from getting there first. Check/renew every 5 years. DENSO, the answer to eve...

Re: Hand brake adjustment problem
The retract force is entirely down to that coil spring hooked behind the little lever on each brake caliper.
Even refurbished calipers can be stiff, in the extreme.
They MUST return easily to the relaxed position.
If they don't , you have a problem.

Re: Fuel Filler Cap Release
Someone in the car pulling the lever to max.
You , bumping the filler lid with your hand.
A prayer might help.
Fix it before closing lid again.

Re: Last chance, still no start :(
Just in case you missed previous warnings on what NEVER to do.
NEVER , EVER leave a spark plug lead disconnected.
If you do, the high voltage will still be produced and will find its way to earth through the lowly rated transistors in the dissy circuit.
Sometimes, you'll get lucky but mostly not.

Re: Distributor removal problem.
Since you suspect fuel pump is not running then concentrate on getting that going
first.
Not an easy item to change so check everything before resorting to replacing it.

Re: Oil leaks
One last thing !
Careful around tightening that sump plug, everyone .
The Probe sump is not much thicker than a soup tin and corrosion around the sump plug can cause a leak from what appears like a rust patch.
Overtightening the plug will finish it off.

My thoughts too Bob.
Or something catastrophic happened on the skew gear , in which case it is new engine time.

Re: Distributor removal problem.
That has to be stuck for that to happen ! Before doing anything , just check the dissy shaft turns, NOT using starter motor, wheel up, in gear. If it turns then, proceed as follows. I suspect it has tried to be removed ' with a hammer, in the wrong place and direction '. You have to get that piece t...

Re: Non starter and fuel pump question
Does read like a distributor failure.
Be careful when testing for a spark.
NEVER , NEVER , NEVER, . leave a spark plug lead disconnected .
An open lead will kill the transistors in the circuitry in an instant.
