Re: Headlamps not working

Bulbs first obviously, also check the headlamp connectors with a circuit tester. The plugs can melt if someone has put higher rated bulbs in there.

After that rule out any fuses or relays.

Re: In need of parts urgently...

That sucks. What bad Luck.

Don't want to be the bearer of bad news but the panel in front of the radiator is badly bent and a good way back, I''m looking at the angle of the headlights too - check the chassis legs aren't twisted.

I`ve always used DOT 4, that what the hand book says
That's what I thought. I know we aren't able to use silicone fluid which is a shame as it isn't hygroscopic.

Re: Rough window rubbers

The ones on the rear windows are bonded to the glass, I'm not sure how they'd come off. I have the same issue on the rat probe. I did wonder if they could be repaired using something like this https://www.frost.co.uk/rubber-moulding-kits.html

Re: Where is the Amplifier?

This is the type with the metal connector with the foam sleeve on it.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Autoleads-PC9- ... B0043GWBM2

Cheaper ones are on e-bay with different connectors but these only work with the base 16v with the original 2006 stereo.

Re: Rear quarter panel and new glass

You won't find panels anywhere other than new old stock Ford panels which sometimes come up on Ebay. I think I've seen two in the last decade. It's a case of repairing what you have. As for glass, front screens are available the rest will be difficult to find other than second hand through this club.

Re: Where is the Amplifier?

I just bought the adaptor cable for the head unit - this bypasses the amp without the hassle of taking it out.

The oil question is one I was going to ask. I seem to only be able to find semi synthetic in 10/40 or 10/30. Only motor cycle oil seems to come in those grades fully synthetic. Vehicle handbook suggests 5/30 so I'm truly confused now :o
Sorry my mistake 5/40 5/30 is correct.
