The ones on the rear windows are bonded to the glass, I'm not sure how they'd come off. I have the same issue on the rat probe. I was advised to buy a silicone spray for rubber to stop my drivers side window sticking and it works.Presumably it is lubricating and protecting the rubber.It wont make the rubbers better but should stip them getting worse.

And you are right standard 7 mm performance 8 mm but iI think you can get 10 mm leads too.
