Re: Lazy rev counter

And those!

It’s a bit of a dull clunk when the shock is compressed. It’s ok over undulated surfaces. Sadly gonna have to wait for now as on another project now 😢

Re: Lazy rev counter

There’s no damage to the wheel but there’s something clunking mildly on suspension now, nothing obvious and cars pulling and stopping straight. Some new shocks, top mounts and arms wouldn’t be a bad idea. I’ve not tried the cruise since, I will do though. As for the rev counter it seemed fine when I...

Re: Lazy rev counter

Not knowing which is which, I’ve just disconnected and reconnected these. I also removed and reseated the twist out device in what looks to be the ecu and reseated it and it seems to have righted it. Hopefully the last I’ll heard of that fault!! https://i.postimg.cc/mtGwLyKh/IMG-2068.jpg Removed mai...

Is the Rev counter, ran from a feed on the Dizzy :?:

Kit
I’ve not checked, I’ll lift the bonnet tomorrow for a closer look.

What am I looking for?….loose connection or is it a sign the dizzy cap is failing?

Re: Lazy rev counter

Doh! The bang was on the left so the shock through the gearbox may have disturbed it. It’s a good place to start looking I guess!

Thank you 🙏🏼

Re: Lazy rev counter

Maybe you have disturbed the connection to the speed sensor? Apart from this issue does it still drive ok, does it now pull to one side? Where is that located? No pulling to one side, cars driving normally just this rev counter issue….it’s gotten a bit worse now, still moves but getting more lifeless

Lazy rev counter

Hi all, Whacked a massive pot hole, hell of a bang on the poor car, nearly fell in it was so deep!!! Straight after was having rev counter problem….it’s as if it’s gone lazy, will move but no more than around 2500 RPM. Was doing 1500 Rpm at 70mph in fourth at one point. I’d appreciate if anyone can ...

Re: Aftermarket alloys

Cheers both, it’s lowered a mild 35mm. I’m not planning on anything extreme but the factory 16’s look a little lost in the arches. Maybe next year once I’ve had some wear from the new tyres I’ll consider going aftermarket 🤔
