Re: Servicing advice

10-40w or 10-30w fully synthetic for the 24v. Magnatec wasn't recommended back in the past.

Mobil 1 was recommended but that isn't cheap. I'd go for decent brand stuff that you have heard of.

Re: Mot advisorirs

I dont think I explained properly. The flexi hose is on the front exhaust. It so far seems hard to find unless I get a mazda one.I dont know where it is on the exhaust until the mechanic shows me monday Its a good idea to get a stainless steel exhaust made up if the worst comes to the worst. Re: Mot advisorirs

By themselves what you have described as advisories are not difficult to do , problem is , they have to be done before next MoT . The 'puffing' noise coming from the front will be the crack in the front flexible exhaust pipe. As long as you don't have the pre-cat exhaust manifold , new front exhaus...

Re: Lifting/Jacking Points

Yeah unless your car is super solid I wouldn't chance the factory points on the sills - might get a shock.

I use the front wishbone mounting point and place the axle stand under the chassis section.

I had thought about one of those, but I don't have a garage (or at least won't have a garage soon) as I'm planning a house extension over where the garage currently sits.
What's wrong with you man?

Re: Body repair rear wheel arch sections?

You can get these universal sections for the lips but I suppose it depends how far it was spread into the rear quarter.

Re: Battery fouling bonnet

One easy way around it ( not OME, so MoJo won’t like it !). Take the tray out by ‘over’ drill the rust fixing with a hole saw. Remove the battery tray bracket that sites above the inside of the wing. Re- drill the holes in the bracket, so the bracket sits flush with the top of the wing. Obtain a fl...
