Speed sensor

Hi all, I noticed yesterday that my speedo wasn't working, and neither was the cruise control. With both having gone, I'm assuming my speed sensor is faulty (unless there's a fuse somewhere I don't know about???) Anyway, does anyone know where I can find said sensor to replace it? I've got a breaker...

Re: car breaker auction

I used to like wandering around Trent's back in the '90s, before all this H&S stuff came in. It was handy being able to browse so many different makes and models to see what I could use to modify my various cars.

Shame we'll never see that sort of scrap yard ever again. :(

Re: Frozen door lock / mechanism

WD40 will trash the locks. 'Traditional' WD40 not only removes the water, but also the grease which is used inside the lock as a lubricant, effectively opening it up seizures. GT85 on the other hand is apparently an oil / lubricant spray, so should work, however I guess any sort of oil-based lubrica...

Re: Alarm/ keyless entry

Any of the Chinese eBay ones will work provided they're wired correctly.

There used to be a write up somewhere as it involves a resistor and all sorts.

Re: ABS Rear off side speed sensor

If it is a sensor, someone on here should be able to provide you with a used spare. New ones might be difficult to find though.

Re: 1995 V6 24V Red rat rod 200k miles - scrap or save?

Looking at the pictures, the biggest issues are going to be the body rust and the door rubbers. The ones you've got appear really quite bubbly, meaning they probably won't last much longer before starting to let water in. The front wing isn't too much of a problem as replacements can be found, but t...

Remember,
There's two sizes of CAT on 16V

400mm early
440mm late

Assuming you've still got a standard exhaust system fitted. ;)

Re: emissions

Not sure you can buy an OEM one any longer, but after market ones are available on eBay from about £50.
