Re: door seals

I would say yes but don't forget there are screws under the rubber top seal,
if I can get up into the loft tomorrow I will take a picture of one that's been removed πŸ‘

Re: Lime Green 16V in need of some TLC

I buy the same battery for 16v as a 24v and I alway buy the AM058L battery

I'm with Trevor need the put load on the battery to check
I do have a ctek battery charger/conditioner, it also let's you know if the battery is u/s, by during charging if the battery won't charge it shows a fault light

Re: Engine/gearbox

Another item to check really closely while everything is out. The power steering 'oil cooler pipe' that runs across the front of the radiator for corrosion. Replace with copper pipe would be nice. Thanks for that info John. Mine looks OK, but will inspect it before I put it back on, plus I have 2 s...

Is that a machined part?
I believe so, I think Brian O'keefe made them on his lathe, πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ˜Š

Re: Engine/gearbox

Both front and rear rocker cover gaskets changed this afternoon,
Spent a bit more on the rtv sealant (HIGH TEMP SEALANT) see if this works any better, then the normal sealant
Front one didn't really need doing (very slight leak on one corner) but might as well do it while the engine is out.

Re: Engine/gearbox

Changed my mind, after giving the gearbox a good clean, I decided to fit it back on the engine,
Not a easy job while working by yourself, but its now refitted to the engine, 😊😊

Will do the rocker cover gaskets tomorrow

Lovely job Malcolm.
What are you using to stop the drive shaft 'bits' dropping out of line ?
aluminium made stops, πŸ‘ when I remove them I'll post up a picture πŸ‘
