Re: Gear change

Sounds like a big job if you go down that route of stripping a gear box, Yes gear change should be smooth and easy to change gears, apart from my daily runner had a issue with changing gears, over the years I've changed to gearbox oil, added moly slip even after changing the clutch, I ended up chang...

Re: 2.0 to 2.5V6 engine swap

Looks like a tidy 16v you have, if you want a 24v sell your 16v and buy a 24v
Simple option.

Re: ABS

Don't think you can just remove the motor from the abs unit, but I could be wrong, someone may come up with the answer, have you tried to reset the code, ( disconnect the battery and press the brake pedal for about 10 seconds) It could be the abs relay? That's faulty,. 1st time I've heard of the mot...

Re: 24V Battery

Nice one, thank you all, I think I’ll stick with the OEM route for the time being. Hopefully it’ll be the only one I’ll need to buy 🤣🤣 not sure how old the current one is. This is assuming of course the battery not keeping charge is a simple battery issue of course!! My battery on the SBM has been ...

Re: 24V Battery

Tanya batteries AM058L is the correct size for the probe,
75 battery would be ok if your dropped the battery tray, if not the bonnet doesn't sit correctly

Re: E10

I use E5 in most of the probe's, especially since I store them for 6 months, I do use E10 in MrP but every now and again I fill it up with E5,
I believe that we can use E10 in the ford probes while running them, but I believe it store them with E5 causes the issue.

Re: Strange knock.....update

Hi, thanks for your time. I think I have traced the message trail in respect of your visit to Mathewsons, but that appears to be for a while 2.0L N695 ONY. Is there a seperate message trail you can direct me to with your report on N358 LGO please? Thanks. Glenn. https://www.ukpoc.co.uk/forum/viewto...

Re: Strange knock.....update

Jeff, you have said the 'current' owner suggesting the knok is on a car you are looking to buy. What is/was the car please? I am looking at a car currently up for sale through an auction and wonder if it is the same car. Thanks. No its not the same car, I went to see the white probe at Mathewson's ...

Alternator belt

1 job done on MrP But it took nearly 2 hours to change the alternator belt on MrP 16v, not a straight forward job, lucky I had a spare, the down side I didn't have a spare for the power steering/ aircon belt, so had to put the old power steering/aircon belt back on, (it didn't look that bad, not lik...
