Re: Tyres

I put Avons on a couple of cars and was not impressed with their grip levels, especially when pulling away I found it to easy to spin the wheels compared to the ones that were on before which were a less well known brand and often a bit worn.

Re: Indicator Repeaters

If you remove the clips holding the rear of the arch liner you can slide your hand in to push the release tab.

Re: New suspension arms creaking?

You are probably getting an echo when going into the garage so it sounds worse.

Check that all nuts and bolts have been correctly torqued as a start.

Re: Removing Seat Rails

Might need to drill the lug out and then replace it with a nut and bolt.

Re: Probe 2.5 rear brakes

Some people in have fitted Mazda 6 front callipers and discs which is useful and relatively inexpensive upgrade which is quite straightforward, but I’m not sure if the rears also fit.

I think that there has also been someone who did a Brembo upgrade but that is more involved.

Re: Radio speaker replacement. Probe 24v 1997

I have used In Phase speakers in my cars in the past, they come in a good range of sizes to match the originals but are better quality at a sensible price.

Managed to get second place in the stereo competition at Probefest once with those fitted to my MX6

Re: Rear wheel bearing

Alternatively the socket for the hub nut fits through the hole in a space saver wheel so you can fit that and crack the nut with the car on the ground - nice and safe, although you will still need a breaker bar and put the car in gear and with the handbrake so it cannot move

Were the struts refitted with the mounts the same way around?
