I put Avons on a couple of cars and was not impressed with their grip levels, especially when pulling away I found it to easy to spin the wheels compared to the ones that were on before which were a less well known brand and often a bit worn.

If you remove the clips holding the rear of the arch liner you can slide your hand in to push the release tab.

You are probably getting an echo when going into the garage so it sounds worse.
Check that all nuts and bolts have been correctly torqued as a start.

Some people in have fitted Mazda 6 front callipers and discs which is useful and relatively inexpensive upgrade which is quite straightforward, but I’m not sure if the rears also fit.
I think that there has also been someone who did a Brembo upgrade but that is more involved.

I have used In Phase speakers in my cars in the past, they come in a good range of sizes to match the originals but are better quality at a sensible price.

Alternatively the socket for the hub nut fits through the hole in a space saver wheel so you can fit that and crack the nut with the car on the ground - nice and safe, although you will still need a breaker bar and put the car in gear and with the handbrake so it cannot move
