Re: Struggling Starter Motor

Re: Cruise control

There are others that will know more about this than me BUT as I understand it ALL gearboxes will have a VSS fitted, so you will not need a new g'box. They must have, because it is directly fed (two wires) to the speedometer. Those two wires are then paralleled into the Cruise control unit. The stee...

Re: Cruise control

I have a cruise control unit Andy.
I have a gearbox but it needs a VSS .
Then you need the steering wheel with the buttons.
I have the wiring system diagram showing all the connections between the speedometer, VSS, cruise control unit.

Re: front down pipe removal

You have the right manifold.
Problem is getting the nuts off the existing studs without shearing the studs, not easy.
The shame of it is, it used to be the kind of job I did for pleasure. If I only could do that again !

Re: 1995 V6 24V Red rat rod 200k miles - scrap or save?

First, how bad is the rust ? If serious and you cannot fix it, then it will cost £X000.'s. Next, getting the engine to run. Is the timing belt broken ? If so, fix it, £100 for parts or £500 if garage does it. Still no guarantee it will run but certainly won't if not done ! If it runs , you have a 'r...

It's not the mileage that matters, it is the amount and whereabouts of the rust that make the decision to scrap or save.

Re: Rear through-bolts

And when, eventually , you have got them out , remember to pack the exposed centre section with God's anti-corrosion gift, DENSO Tape.
'Cos otherwise, it will get like that, all over again.

Re: Aerial

That's ok, definitely aerial.
lNext problem, most of the aerials for sale do not work like the Probe ones !
You will need the Probe aerial, or it gets complicated.
