Re: 1994 2.0 not starting - Resolved

Hi all got it running now. Managed to make one good starter out of the two I had, and then fired up right away. Think it was the solenoid that was at fault Thank you all for your help over the past few days. I now can take a starter out of a 16v in around 5 minutes! (with the brackets already removed)

Re: 1994 2.0 not starting

Starter tested and works OK,

Car has had imboliser deleted and never had a issue with it in the past.

Cleaned all the connections up, and still the same as before, it clicks but not turning engine over.

Earth lead didn't work, so I'll take start off when I'm off nights and clean the Contacts and also on the leads themselves

Re: 1994 2.0 not starting

Battery had a health charge done on it under warranty so should be OK, also wouldn't jump start, but still have full power to all electrics so think that eliminates the battery?

Will try the earth and add an extra lead on

Undid the banjo join on the power steering, and I'm sure I had to unclip further down too if I remember correctly

2.5v6 into a 2.0 16v

Hi all going to swap a v6 engine into my 2.0. Both are 1994, are the whole looms different? Or just the engine looms?

Do I need to change the fuse boxes too?

Engine removal

Good news, I've managed to find a v6 parts car near me that has been stored in a garage for 8 years. Gonna pull the engine from it and fit to the 2.0 Any tips for removing? Will be replacing belts, water pump, gaskets etc when engine is out. I'm guessing I need engine, gearbox, wiring loom, ecu. Any...
